When you reach out to MoveSafe Relocation, you will speak with a dedicated moving coordinator who will guide you through the entire quoting process. Your coordinator will ask about your move dates, origin and destination, a general description of what you are moving, any special items or circumstances, and any access challenges at either location such as stairs, elevators, or parking restrictions. This initial conversation typically takes 10 to 15 minutes and gives us the information we need to provide a preliminary estimate. There is no obligation and no pressure to book during or after this call. MoveSafe Relocation gives you time to compare quotes, ask questions, and make an informed decision.
How MoveSafe Relocation Produces Your Estimate
After your initial consultation, MoveSafe Relocation offers a free virtual survey to verify your inventory in detail. During the virtual survey, you walk through your home on a video call with your coordinator, who catalogs every item that will go on the truck. This process takes 20 to 40 minutes depending on the size of your home and produces an estimate that is 90 to 95 percent accurate.
Based on the verified inventory, MoveSafe Relocation provides a binding not-to-exceed estimate in writing. This means the price quoted is the maximum you will pay for the items listed on the estimate. If the actual shipment comes in smaller than estimated, you pay less. The estimate document lists every item, every service, and the total cost, so you know exactly what you are paying for before you commit to anything.
We recommend every customer take advantage of the virtual survey because it is the best way to prevent surprises on moving day. Customers who complete the virtual survey report significantly fewer price adjustments than those who estimate inventory over the phone.
